1. The left likes to attack the idea of nationalism as evil; they liken it to Nazism. The Left compares Trump's call to "make America great again" to Hitler's similar plea for Germany, but nationalism isn't intrinsically evil.
2. According to Merriam-Webster, nationalism is:
"loyalty and devotion to a nation
especially : a sense of national consciousness." Simply put, nationalism is loving your country and it's values, and putting it's interest before all other nations.
3. Is this not what we should expect from our president? Nationalism doesn't mean that we can't cooperate with the global community; it just means that our dealings need to be win-wins. Ghandi, Churchill, Washington, Adams, Jefferson, and Mussolini were all nationalists.
4. In contrast to Trump, Obama is an anti-colonialist who views the US as an evil empire, hogging up resources and stealing the wealth of 3rd world countries. @DineshDSouza makes an excellent case for this in his book and movie, Obama's America.
5. Obama subjugated our best interests to the interests of the global community; he effectively made us the community whore. And just as men love the whore, but never respect her, so too did the world leaders' love for Obama increase while their respect for us diminished.
6. Can nationalism be evil? Of course. Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy, and North Korea are great examples of evil nationalism. Evil nationalism is always forced. You either get with the program or else.
7. The Left criticizes the outrage generated by NFL players refusing to stand for our national anthem, but no one is denying their right to do so. Just as the players have the right to kneel, people have a right to be offended and demand action from the NFL.
8. The president also has the right to call their actions disrespectful and shameful. The NFL has the right to prohibit these offensive displays. Imagine a white suppremacist for a moment; let's just call him "WS."
9. WS has the right to wear racially offensive appearal, but what if he wore them to work. What if a black man went to a fast food joint and WS was behind the couter wearing a t-shirt disparaging black people? Would the black man not have the right to be offended?
9. Moreover, would the black man not have the right to demand the owner take action, and if the owner refused, to no longer patronize that establishment, just as the Left boycotted Chick Fil A? Trump's praise and encouragement of nationalism is not evil.
10. Compare this to North Korea. What would happen if a North Korean athlete kneeled during the playing of the North Korean national anthem? Kim executed an official for falling asleep during a military parade and another for slumping in his chair during a meeting, just saying.
11. Nationalism, also known as patriotism is like like sex: When it's comes willingly from the heart, it can be a beautiful expression of love and commitment; however, when forced, it is nothing more than violent rape.
12. Ironically, it is the Left that seeks to rape us; they intend to take power over us not by the consent of the governed, but by force and deception. They use baseless unprovable accusations to destroy and takedown anyone who threatens their agenda.
13. The Left would pass hate speech laws that would define any voice of opposition as hate speech; they would use this along with violence and intimidation to silence all dissenting voices. Their goal is to remake America into a socialist state.
14. Whatever you call yourself, Republican or Democrat, Conservative or Liberal, Right or Left, there are really only two ideological realities: that which supports individualism and liberty and that which supports collectivism and statism.
15. You have a choice this November. How you vote will determine the course of this country for at least a generation. If you believe that you have inalienable rights as an individual and that the goverment exists by your consent to protect you and those rights, then vote red.
16. If you believe that people only have rights as members of a collective that they are bound to serve, and that they belong to a government whose job is to provide their needs at the cost of their individual liberty, then vote blue.
17. Personally, I'd rather embrace liberty with all the struggles personal responsibilty may entail, than accept slavery as one of the government's poorly cared for hamsters.
