My thoughts on why @Girlguiding’s transgender inclusion policy is so dangerous for girls and trans-excluding rather than trans-including:
1) 97% of sexual crimes are committed by men and boys. Allowing boys to share overnight accommodation, showers and changing facilities with girls and allowing men to provide overnight and intimate care for girls puts those girls in danger.
2) This is especially dangerous because @Girlguiding have made it clear that anyone expressing concerns about safeguarding where those concerns touch on trans is in danger of being expelled from the organisation. The duty to report concerns has been compromised.
3) The danger is further increased by leaders being forbidden to tell girls’ parents that their daughters will be sharing facilities where they are especially vulnerable with boys and/or being supervised overnight and given intimate care by men.
4) And compounded by teaching girls that their safety, privacy and dignity are less important than being ‘nice’ to boys and men. Girls are being taught to shut up about their personal boundaries. This puts them in immediate danger and sets them up for future grooming and abuse.
5) Furthermore, girls are not free to safely explore their feelings about their own bodies and personalities. If a girl expresses feelings of being uncomfortable with her body or shows ‘masculine’ traits, she is told she is a boy and asked to leave.
6) Research shows that most children, if left alone, will desist and grow into healthy lesbian or gay adults. @Girlguiding’s policy excludes lesbians and puts girls on a pathway to medication and surgery that will leave them maimed and sterilised.
7) On the flip-side of that, by bringing in trans-identifying boys, @Girlguiding are actively participating in the affirmation of those boys’ feelings. Again, if left alone most of those boys would grow up into healthy gay men.
8) Instead, affirming that those boys are actually girls puts them at a significantly increased likelihood of being put on an irreversible medical pathway.
9) By agreeing that girls who like stereotypically masculine things are actually boys, @Girlguiding is affirming gender stereotypes, actively setting back the rights and equality of the girls, young women and female volunteers and staff in their organisation.
10) By agreeing that boys who like stereotypically feminine things are actually girls, @Girlguiding are re-enforcing aspects of toxic masculinity that exclude gender-non-conforming boys and men from the male ‘pack’.
11) So, @Girlguiding’s ‘trans-inclusive’ policy actually:
- puts girls in young women in immediate danger
- grooms girls for sexual abuse
- excludes young lesbians and girls with gender dysphoria
- leads to unnecessary medical intervention
- enforces gender stereotypes
- puts girls in young women in immediate danger
- grooms girls for sexual abuse
- excludes young lesbians and girls with gender dysphoria
- leads to unnecessary medical intervention
- enforces gender stereotypes

Cos I have a 5 year-old daughter, who will join Rainbows over my dead body while @GirlGuiding so blatantly disregards basic safeguarding.
