2/ But it’s crucial the climate movement get its head out of its ass on this topic. It keeps attacking oil industry - an industry entirely tertiary to oil burning:

The primary cause of oil burning is land use patterns; the secondary cause are carmakers who enable those patterns.
3/ If you change land use patterns, you drastically undermine the auto industry. I’m living proof. Like I said, $250 this year on gas, mostly to visit family in Oregon or friends in Marin (thanks, @Damon_Connolly, for blocking the bike lane on the Richmond bridge).

There’s an enduring myth that it takes forever to build housing in California, and especially in Berkeley.

That’s only true in cities where city officials want it to be true. The University of California, for example, knows better.

Watching Berkeley city council candidate and YIMBY voter Ben Gould hold NIMBY incumbent Kate Harrison to account for her numerous anti-housing votes on the council.

As more YIMBYs run for office, NIMBYs will have nowhere to run, nowhere to hide.
Whoa. Harrison just straight up said that Berkeley’s too expensive and homeless people should go be homeless elsewhere.

I mean, NIMBYs are just saying the stuff out loud now.
Now she’s riffing on her climate leadership in encouraging people to something something about factory farms and something something declaring a climate emergency.

There are no factory farms in Berkeley. Lots of polluting cars though, thanks to not enough housing.

I loved #ER when it first came in but I missed the first few seasons- and several episodes every year.

I’m on season 1, Episode 13. It’s interesting how (John) Carter (med student) is smart but bumblefuck-y.
Versus Susan a resident (I think?) who is competent but was just made responsible for someone else’s mistake.

The Evidence Obtained Outside Cameras will not show any evidence of ‘tempering’ but other than license plates of dozens of diplomatic cars (Many with tinted windows-large trunks) with related time stamp, drivers Info, model/year: Nothing.
#Turkish Intel-Investigative Bodies also have the list of all Diplomatic & Private Saudi & “other significant’ Planes in #Turkey for the period of ‘interest.’ Many of the Target airports have their own security cameras & related evidence.

 Many news sites refer to Badwan as either a protestor or a demonstrator who was shot and killed by the #IDF. The photo on the left, from the DailyMail, states Badwan is a protestor. The photo on the right from CGTN states Badwan is a protestor as well.

 The problem is Badwan wasn’t there to protest in the way most people think. This video was taken Friday afternoon at the Karni crossing where Palestinians were clashing w/ #IDF soldiers. At the end, you can see Badwan being evacuated after getting shot by the #IDF.

According to Palestinian reports, at approximately 18:00 hours, an #IDF airstrike struck downtown Gaza City. Two teens were killed as a result of the strike. Reports claimed an empty structure, a children’s park and a mosque were damaged. #Gaza #Israel #Hamas #IDF

 The children’s park in reality is #Qassam Brigade’s “Battalions Square” and the teens who died were inside the structure circled in red. Beside it is the mosque circled in blue which was damaged by the strike.
