Me : Not in the immediate term. I suspect there'll be some turmoil. In the longer term, there's a more positive potential if the focus is on being that global trading nation rather than insular.
Me : Because there are larger issues at stake than just the overall economic health measured by GDP.
Me : I don't fear democracy. I am concerned of the psychological impact of remain losing (there is an assumption it'll win ... like the last time) and if it was a close result either way, all sorts of trouble could ensue.
Me : I am mindful that the distance between the rational and mob induced irrational is very small. The path of good intentions is littered with tyrants, despots and unintended consequences.
Me : They are not clear other than many believe that the result was wrong. Equally, a lot of people believe it was right. I don't see a mandate for doing this again.
