I was disturbed when I first read that only 7 airports, and not 35 like the PM had claimed, were made operational int he past 4 years.

Alleged "fact checkers" cite Lok Sabha replies, saying 31 airports are non-operational. Turns out there are other Lok Sabha replies that tell us 25 airports are "operational" but are not in use. So we are looking at 56 not in use airports. myind.net/Home/viewArtic…
And this is the list of airports owned by the Airport Authorities of India. Did you know the UDAN scheme shall include *any* airport, and not just the ones owned by AAI? That automatically makes nearly 400 airports/airstrips eligible. myind.net/Home/viewArtic…
So for example - Ludhiana and Jalagaon are “operational” airports but are “unserved”. Many such airports have been added to the most unique UDAN scheme - myind.net/Home/viewArtic… - as of last count, 31 such airports.

Apparently, it seems @USATODAY has determined that Trump is able to act as a spokesperson for @TheDemocrats as well as those who vote with their party.

It's clearly presented as a fact, not an opinion.

In fact, this seems like a statement that not only degrades the policy position, but could do real financial harm to those who identify as Democrats by portraying them as irrational, unreasonable, Russian influenced agents.

1. So I’ve been wondering for over a year whatever happened to Robert Kerekes, the then 53-year-old NJ man who phoned in a massacre threat to Evergreen State College on Thursday, 6/1/17 after the protests went viral online & were reported on by MSM.

2. I haven’t been able to find any media coverage of Kerekes’ case since July 2017 when a judge sent him for a mental health evaluation. He had no criminal record but had been found incompetent in a 1984 trespassing case.

Sorry for the Saturday thread. But this is important. The idea that the UK will fail to reach a deal with the EU but then suddenly sign lots of new agreements with the EU and other countries is utterly ridiculous. 1/
First, international agreements don't just fall off trees. They have to be drafted, negotiated, consulted, finalised, voted, implemented. Takes time. Not least as if you want an agreement that means something it will need people to do things differently. Otherwise why bother? 2/
Also you need the agreement to be properly legally binding on both sides. A badly drafted agreement is not of much use to anyone. Legal resource needs to rely here on policy and regulatory skills. Which are typically in short supply 3/

#Fact 1 - The Wage Gap is real. People who says it's not haven't read the data.

However, in places like the USA, the wage gap is *not* mostly due to sexism like many #femnist #WomenInScience are claiming it is today. Disparate outcomes doesn't imply disparate treatment.
Women typically choose fields that are lower paying; even in the #STEM fields. To attribute that to sexism only or even mostly is a very dishonest way of deriving an answer for this complex disparity.
