People don't realize how vulnerable we are to having an absolutely corrupt government. Trump, the Russians or the Kochs could simply pay Susan Collins $20M to vote yes on Kavanaugh. With a GOP-controlled Congress, SCOTUS and WH, there's no one to enforce federal bribery laws.
Have said this before: With a GOP-controlled Congress, Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court and Trump in the White House, they can simply legalize bribery. Foreign and domestic. We could see Russian oil magnates legally paying off U.S. politicians in a few years.
