Becoming clear that many people on here who profess to support LGBTQIA rights are ready to abandon that support if they think it's too controversial to win elections. Their fear of illusory hordes of anti-trans voters is greater than their commitment to principle.

(worth pointing out that progressives WON the one election that's turned on trans rights issues so far, and it was in NC no less. But why let that get in the way of galaxy-brain takes from blue-check authors of books about food systems)

I'm so angry after reading this. Our profession keeps self-immolating by driving some of its most interesting and talented practitioners out, as we've done for decades. All because man-babies are threatened by intelligent, accomplished women.

As a male historian, I know I can and should do more to fight sexism and misogyny in our field, and in academe. We all have to, because it is intolerable that some of the people who are doing *great* work, and who are *great* scholars and colleagues, are being treated like this
I hope this post challenges you, as it did me, to think very hard about what more you can do to fight this. Start by believing women, and continue by being an ally and a voice when needed. The whole time, don't be like the people in this article's cases.

Contrary to popular belief, there really are more than two genders.Many people with sex chromosome variations don't know they have it, or find out later in life. Some are born with ambiguous genitals, and some look like one gender or another but their chromosomes are different.

Many Iranians criticised one of BBC Farsi’s journalists for her comments on Iran-Hezbullah relations. Some have even threatened her that she won’t be allowed to go back to Iran after the fall of the regime. Many Iranians believe some of @bbcpersian journalists support the regime.
In the past few days some anti-BBC slogans have been chanted by the protesters in Iran. In a comment one of BBCFarsi journalist claims that ‘Trump wants to turn Iran into another Syria by starting a civil war etc’. The same propaganda which is pumped out by Iranian state media.
Some of @BBCPersian journalists block anyone who criticises them. One of its journalists in particular has publicly supported A.Khamenei on his social media pages. I have written to a few MPs and the BBC about. Will see if BBC is interested in opening an investigation.
