The fundamentals of Lambda School are working. Now we begin really optimizing. Soon we’ll be hiring:

* Salespeople (A lot - to build out the world’s best hiring network)
* Data Scientists (to predict success/correct failure earlier)
* Engineers
* Career Coaches (still more)
All the while the majority of the existing team (~30 people) will focus on continuing to improve the existing student experience.

There are a lot of fixed costs that go into building the best school. We’re really damn good, but still just barely getting started.
We win when we can predict which students will be successful, plug them into the best school ever, then connect them with an incredible hiring network (which is thrilled to hire them).

Switching careers is an incredibly difficult feat right now. We can make it dead simple.

A lot of talk about Lambda School today, and most of it I'll ignore.

One I'm going to respond to - that Lambda School is "creaming" - removing the best students from other schools and locking them into ISAs.

This is a tweetstorm full of student stories, so buckle up.
J is a single father, high school dropout with two kids (1.6 GPA), had been working in a warehouse for four years. We noticed in our intro courses he was doing well at programming, and decided to invest.

He attended Lambda, now makes software for warehouses, making $80k+/yr
S had to drop out of school when she couldn't afford the payments on her archaeology degree. She was living in a car when she applied to Lambda School.

She was also hired at an $80k rate.

There are more than 10x the students starting Lambda School today as 18 months ago.

NPS is higher across the board, student skill is higher across the board, and it goes off without a hitch.

Hats off to the Lambda growth, admissions and student success teams.
NPS schoolwide for Lambda School is in the high 60s. We're working on getting it to the mid/high 70s right now.
