Amazing. WaPo editorial oppsosing “Trumpism” doesnt once use the words “Republican” or “GOP”.

The midterms arent about a one-off deviation, they’re about a specific party that refuses to reject Trump b/c they love tax cuts & hate women & poor people & POC washingtonpost.com/opinions/voter…

How can one mount meaningful resistance when that which they’re resisting cannot be named beyond one man? The Republican Party completely owns Trumpism now. It does no one any good to act like the Max Boots have any real constituency beyond four people at the Washington Post

The Washington Post holds on to a fantasy that there’s a way of opposing Trump without party-line opposing the Republican Party. It’s virtually nonexistent. If they care about defeating Trump with the ballot—beyond empty posturing—this editorial would be two words: vote Democrat.

But again, the Washington Post, like NPR and CNN and even MSNBC have an ideological incentive in acting like Trump’s an anomaly rather than the essence of the GOP. This way they can maintain the PR-savvy, subtly racist, more sustainably evil Republican brand beyond 2020.

tl;dr- there’s already a moderate capitalist party, it’s called the Democratic Party.

In 2018 if ur still a Republican ur either a white nationalist or care more about reducing ur taxes 3% than the baseline humanity of nonwhites which, in effect, makes you a white nationalist
