@VohiCapital I am a strong believer that when working with clients money, one should have a Zero direct exposure of our own. I've learnt this with my experience when I used to trade big time for myself & for clients as well, my 5-6 digit PnL was more important than client's 8-10 digits PnL's..
@VohiCapital ...which I felt was Ethically wrong & that was the last time I traded for myself. The major behavioral aspects were:
1. Not giving enough time to client positions
2. Dragging clients money in my losing trades held for HOPE
3. Emotional attachment
4. No time for self enhancement..
@VohiCapital after I stopped trading for myself, I was more professional & productive in my career. I was able to take up bigger capital of clients money. Other benefits were:
1. Better command over my own emotions
2. Skill enhancements
3. Rational behavior
4. More time for research
...
@VohiCapital I've told this to my clients as well & there is no hesitation in saying this in an open forum that for me: "Trading with clients money is nothing different than playing a video game" which essentially means "No Emotions". The benefits of this is "Rational decisions"...
@VohiCapital I've had bad memories in my life in multiple crashes for clients who did not act rationally. I've had to meet few of them in hospitals not to ask him how does he feel after a heart attack but to make sure we get the margin cheque before he dies...
@VohiCapital So even if it sounds harsh to cut down when losses are decent, my only intention remains that I don't want to end up seeing another one in the hospital bed and these have helped me save larger losses. So either have a hedge right from the start or manage risk without emotions. 😊
