The bigger danger than NOTA for BJP will be voter apathy. No one gets "excited" about development. Core emotive issues matter, especially to karyakartas. Unenthused karyakartas will lead to low voter turnout, won't be motivated to get others. Wake up!
People expect development but do not vote on that basis. All the "modernist" ministers in the cabinet can barely get elected. It is the @myogiadityanath and @girirajsinghbjp who get votes. This is then turned into a "development plank" by the unelectable.
While I do not advocate NOTA at all, I would not be surprised if a large percent of NOTA voters are traditional BJP supporters who are disappointed with BJP but couldn’t get themselves to vote for the Congress.
Every new convert is a voter less for BJP. Yet it creates special schemes to ENCOURAGE conversion. What do you call this but a death-wish?
Why is this so hard to get? If someone is angry at you they may still grudgingly vote for you but are they enthusiastically going to canvass others?
