1) BBC journalists - a thread on #Brexit balance.
2 years ago you took an editorial decision to write off "Remain" as an option.

This survey shows that that was a catastrophic failing in your duty of balance informed reporting

@AndrewMarr9 @bbcnickrobinson @EvanHD @bbclaurak
@AndrewMarr9 @bbcnickrobinson @EvanHD @bbclaurak 2) week after week you, at best, pitched Tory spokespeople (who support #Brexit) against Labour (who also support Brexit)

Sometimes you even presented 2 sides of the Tory Brexit position as "balance"

This survey shows that this was a terrible failure of duty
@AndrewMarr9 @bbcnickrobinson @EvanHD @bbclaurak 3) despite this writing off of Remain (Nick Robinson said essentially "the debate is over, the only Q is the form of #Brexit"), despite pleading "but Brexit must happen", even despite attempts to reinforce the inevitability of Brexit, Remain has grown

@AndrewMarr9 @bbcnickrobinson @EvanHD @bbclaurak 4) with no major party support and certainly no fair reporting from the BBC, despite all the attempts to make Brexit a foregone conclusion, 700k people, with millions more behind them said "no, it's not a done deal"
It's a phenomenal #peoplesvote movement, the largest in Europe
@AndrewMarr9 @bbcnickrobinson @EvanHD @bbclaurak 5) Frankly, it's long past time for the @BBCNews team to make amends, to remember your duty to inform, impartially, and to give the Remain movement a voice on your programs and in your coverage

#Brexit is not inevitable, and people now know it
@AndrewMarr9 @bbcnickrobinson @EvanHD @bbclaurak @BBCNews 6) the fact that the BBC news teams wrote off any attempt to halt Brexit and yet despite this a majority now want a #peoplesvote should be a matter of shame for BBC news

People needed to know this was possible, you let them down badly, as a matter of policy
@AndrewMarr9 @bbcnickrobinson @EvanHD @bbclaurak @BBCNews 7) it is not balance to bring on the Labour Leadership to face off against Tories on #Brexit, they belong on the same side of the debate. You need to bring in other voices.

And you need to recognise cries of "Remoaner, we had a vote" for what they are, attempts to stifle debate
@AndrewMarr9 @bbcnickrobinson @EvanHD @bbclaurak @BBCNews 8) over to you, you've let the country down so very badly by only presenting one side of the argument for so long at a crucial time.

It's time to recognise the majority want something different, they have a right to a voice on the BBC
