Early reflections: I think a lot of us really wanted an impressive, undeniable repudiation of the divisive, xenophobic rhetoric and policies adopted by the Republican Party and are disappointed that didn't happen. BUT...

In addition, this was a good night for women, especially women of color. The country will be better off with more diversity in its leadership....
Other bright spots: A democratic house means some oversight for this administration. The opportunity for former felons to vote in Florida is HUGE. The popular vote reveals that *most voters* still aren't buying what Trump is selling (& that gerrymandering is AWFUL)....
...and, maybe this is petty, but it's kind of great that Kim Davis lost to one of the men she refused to grant a marriage license. Also Beto 2020???? Finally...
...We HAVE to prioritize addressing the voter suppression we saw in places like Georgia. There's more to say on all this, but I'm tired and a little down, but also so grateful for everyone who worked so hard to try and turn the tide.
