Manafort, Gates & Tad Devine were partners with another indicted GRU military agent, Konstantin Kilimnik, who at times both before the 2016 election & after inauguration, used Oleg Deripaska’s private jet to visit Manafort & Gates.

.@HallieJackson @maddow on #Mueller report. I distinctly recall OSC said report was to be limited to obstruction. Obstruction was clear but what I think is coming & US AG has no say: NY State computer fraud, kidnapping & money laundering charges.

IMO Mueller charges treason.
I had noticed an artifact in both Russian related Mueller cases. The Russian Defendants viewed their actions as making war on US. If defendants agreed to that conspiracy, IMO, they violated the first clause of 18 USC 2381: "levies war against [the United States]."
To make a case I'd want evidence Trump & crew knew that was Russians' goal. Perhaps intercepts will prove Trump knew it. If so @Trump will face impeachment on treason charges plus 32 states have treason statutes. @realDonaldTrump needs to cut a deal for immunity & resign. Soon.

(THREAD) Three things: #Mueller has convened a grand jury in DC today; Cohen has shown up in DC; and there is a lot of talk about an imminent Roger Stone and/or Jerome Corsi indictment. 1/
While a Corsi indictment is imminent, and a Stone indictment at some point very likely, the fact that #MIchaelCohen is in the picture today indicates instead that he is likely in DC to appear as a witness against #DonJr, not Stone or Corsi. 2/
Cohen has never been in the news about Corsi or Stone, but there has been a lot of buzz recently about an imminent indictment of Don Jr. (Trump is reported to be depressed about this). 3/

If Trump verbally committed treason by siding with Putin over the United States, the argument can be made that Sarah Sanders conspired to help Trump commit treason during her press conference today.
...and because this always comes up, treason charges do not historically require a declaration of war, but simply an act of war. Russian election hacking may legally qualify as an act of cyber war.
There is very little legal precedent for defining an act of cyber war. We don’t know if Mueller will bring treason charges, or if they would stick. But the door is wide open for him to try.
