STOP LYING: ON SOUR GRAPES, SOUR H0ES, AND WHY PEOPLE PISSED AWAY AN ENTIRE YEAR HATING INSTEAD OF DOING!

A RANT.

So, I've been only vaguely aware of things happening on this site because I've been busy and uninterested in fandom in-fighting.

But some things have slid down my timeline in recent days that I had to laugh at: People lying about their faves wanting success. 🍵

I didn't say anything about "gold frisbee" when it went by me, because I usually don't care about the opinions of people who couldn't spell "ambition" and who celebrate a mediocre existence for their faves because that's all they'll ever have...

But, it's disturbing to me because nobody should be self-dragging that hard in the hopes that we can't see through your facade of embarrassment and envy. No sane person would refer to one of the most coveted certifications on Earth as meaningless.

Just admit it...you're mad.

So many lies are being told in the wake of a bunch of people pissing away a whole year. Because that's just reality: You had time, and you did nothing with it.

So, shall we count the ways that people attempted to coattail ride but managed to flop at the ONE thing that mattered?

Let's see, BTS made "Top Social Artist" a thing, and nobody cared...until they saw their international fame explode. Y'all really got to the point where you were picking fights with ARMYs and then tagging your faves to get them clout.

And they still didn't get a nomination. 🍵

BTS had a slew of ground-breaking performances that saw their audience grow and grow, as did their sales. Y'all had companies taking our hand-me-down PR and begging people to pre-order on Amazon.

Replicating your way to success doesn't work when people won't buy.

How do y'all have XYG in these streets looking crazy and blowing all this money on advertising outside of Korea and instead of buying the damn albums, people bought the hype.

I guess that makes sense...hype is free. 🍵

I just wish people, if they insist on being in our face and business, can make up their mind about exactly what they're supposed to be flopping at: Are you winning by losing or are you fake flexing while trying to convince us we should be worried by your non-purchases?

If you're winning by losing, I'm not sure how that affects ARMYs. That's like beating someone by running into his fist with your face. Again, please...learn how the world works:

If you're congratulating yourself on refusing to contribute to your fave's career and happiness, then you're just...the worst. Unlike you, I've actually done the research on the consequence of a lack of sales and reduced relevancy in the Poptart market.

It ain't pretty.

How, knowing that your group will likely be disbanded or put on indefinite hiatus, could you risk their careers and livelihoods as an "EFF YOU!" to another fandom that's not even worried about you...have you no shame?!

But if you're not confused, and you DO want them to, you know, SURVIVE, maybe you can get on that by collectively organizing yourselves. Buy albums, promote them internationally. Stop lying and saying that your financial support is what they DON'T want, you poor little clowns.

I'll end by saying that I have zero faith you'll get it together in 2019, either. Unlike you idiots who look to tweets that blow up, YouTube trends, and Hanteo/Gaon sales you know damn well you didn't contribute to, I look to things that actually make sense: International sales.

If you're serious about something other than Twitter clout, by all means...let's have your fave sell millions of their Korean language album the world over because enough of you found time away from mining for gold in ARMY *ss to go out and make a purchase.

Y'all can call us toxic and you can call us toothpaste, but you'll never be able to call US the reason your faves flopped their way into historical irrelevance. That's on you.

You can't lie your way into ground-breaking success. You can't flop your way in, either. 🍵
