In the sentencing memo, Michael Cohen’s lawyer argues Cohen’s tax evasion was not as bad as DMX, who served a year in jail (U.S. v. Earl Simmons).

The problem with this argument is that a lot of things aren’t as bad as DMX.
They cite the case depicting DMX concealing millions to avoid paying taxes, routing payments to his managers so money could be “distributed to himself in cash.”
In other words, “The lawyers / the part / they are / of the puzzle /
The release / the warning, "Try not to get in trouble!” / The snitches / the odds / probation / parole / The new charge / the bail / the warrant / the hole!”
