2/5 Townsend is a Labour member from Camberwell & Peckham branch and a Southwark Momentum member (cc @LabourAgainstAS). He is essentially a JVL activist and most probably a member. Townsend signs JVL letters defending antisemites like Jackie Walker & Ken Livingstone.
3/5 He also posts JVL articles, such as this one defending Pete Willsman who called Jews ‘Trump fanatics’. Townsend also promotes posts by ‘Labour Against the Witch Hunt,’ an organisation run by JVL members to support Labour antisemites
4/5 Julian Townsend posts material from Caroline Tipler, an extreme antisemite exposed by @PrivateEyeNews for her Facebook group for Labour racists. He also posts material by antisemitic conspiracy theorist Craig Murray
5/5 So next time JVL virtue signal about antisemitism, remember they are the ones that propagate it. Their true nature is accurately conveyed by cheerleaders like Julian Townsend. And they are here to defend @jeremycorbyn’s antisemitic project at any cost.
