Jesus. So back in July I tweeted this.

I wondered if mad Brexiteers would try to use Ireland's reliance on the UK landbridge as leverage. And further speculated how much the EU would have to come to Ireland's assistance (with ships) in the event of no deal.
The London Times today. @patel4witham went with it.

A reminder: the Court of Appeal hearing against the Department is due to start next month with regard to access to the concession agreement under FOI - the Department lost the High Court case.

A DUP MP said last night on #BBCtw that Scotland’s largest export market is the United Kingdom, so it would be stupid to turn our backs on it by going independent. This has to be one of the most misleading and ridiculous arguments I’ve ever heard against independence.
Firstly, the actual amount of Scottish exports to the rest of the UK is unknown because the treasury doesn’t produce data for internal trade. It’s deemed impracticable. There’s also no legal requirement for companies to produce financial data at a UK constituent country-level.
Since no official hard data exists, the Scottish Government commissions an annual survey (GCS) to collect data on company exports outside Scotland. Larger well-known businesses have a greater chance of being sampled.

This is gonna be long, but I think it's worth it. A well-regarded twitter poster, let’s call him Giorgio, has recently publish a thread stating among other things as follows. “The pathways to stopping or delaying Brexit are blocked.
But once the mandate is discharged, the pathways to UK rejoining, or being in a close association agreement with EU, within the single market and customs union, will be open, with no obstacles.”
This approach annoys me for two reasons, one because Giorgio seems to be attempting to cajole Remainers to put all activity on hold until we actually leave the #EU.
