VA press secretary @CurtCashour is so bad at this. He says Wilkie stopped participating in Confederate events "once the issue became divisive."

The issue became divisive in the 1840s.

Here is a thing politicians 8,000 miles away from the fighting have never understood in 15 years of fighting in Iraq and Syria: The U.S. Army considers the Kurdish peshmerga an extension of itself. Much like individual platoons and companies are loyal to their interpreters.
American soldiers and Kurdish peshmerga have fought and died together fighting Ba'athists and ISIS.

The American people aren't loyal to the Kurds. Elected officials aren't loyal to the Kurds. But the Army is. And Mattis knows it. And Trump is going to have to deal with this now.

NEW: In speech to a pro-Confederate group, VA secretary Robert Wilkie praised Jefferson Davis as "a martyr to the Lost Cause" and "an exceptional man in exceptional age."

On the Confederacy, Wilkie said Davis was the reflection of "a proud people"& that not all of "man's noble experiments succeed." He added Davis' "unbroken spirit" after the war served as a reminder to the southerns "that their cause was honorable..."

First, NEO isn't the average PoW- or PoS-blockchain, NEO utilizes dBFT consensus which comes with several advantages but also some downsides. You can read about it here:

One significant downside to this model is that you have to trust most (66%) of the consensus nodes to not be bad players (its nearly the same for PoW and PoS, isn't it?)
Consensus nodes aren't competing for consensus, they're cooperating. This leads to one significant advantage:

Today's terrorist attack in Pittsburgh is truly horrifying. My thoughts go out to the families of the victims. It's not enough to just send condolences, we have to look at the larger trend and acknowledge the biggest terror threat in America:

Hate groups and the extreme right
Experts disagree on the exact % of terror attacks that are motivated by far-right ideology, the differences explained by different methods of measuring or different time-frames, but they're unanimous in that it's over 2/3 in recent decades.
This analysis by Defense One (itself fairly far right) puts it on the low side at 71%.

#Today's story to #EndFamilySeparation Four months ago, Dad and 4-month-old entered at the Texas/Mexico border and requested #asylum. Dad and child were immediately separated and the baby put in ORR custody. #FamiliesBelongTogether
Dad was detained in a #Texas detention center where @RAICESTEXAS consulted. Dad accepted a deportation to be quickly reunited w/ his infant child. However, the Dad was deported & NOT his child. The now 8-month-old baby has been in ORR custody for 4 months. #EndFamilySeparation
