The time has come to work towards revoking Article 50.

The last two years under TMay - driven by plan-less and detail-lite SW1 Brexiters, from Nick Timothy to Boris Johnson - have brought us to this sorry pass. Basically a horror show from start to finish.
It seems the legal status quo ante has NOT gone but the political status quo ante almost certainly has. If Art50 is revoked, the expected turbulence from Brexit would then move from economics to politics. I imagine the UK’s post-Art50 membership of the EU being frozen/paralysed.
The Blair view that a second referendum result will be *it* is a forlorn hope. Political activism driven by Tech is flooding into every corner of politics, here and abroad (including the EU).
The idea that the Westminster parties can bring this situation back to something resembling a quiet equilibrium (with them “in charge”) is laughable. We are in a new Tech-driven world now, despite Brexit.
Let’s just hope the popular backlash manifests itself correctly – against an utterly useless Westminster class that brought us here. And that there’s an upswell for some serious reform to the whole of our politics.
Of course this all assumes a referendum will (a) happen and (b) will have a Remain option and (c) will be won by Remain. Those are still very big ifs indeed.
Footnote: I guess this means I have effectively revoked my 2016 vote. So it's now 17,410,742 minus 1.
