There are 4 components of the IDF counter terrorism operations in the West Bank.

The combination of intelligence and operational access mean that the IDF can operate freely with limited forces in order to detain suspects, preferably before they’ve conducted terror attacks.
The security barrier makes it more complicated for terrorists to easily infiltrate from the West Bank into other parts of the country.
Security coordination is based on the mutual interest that terror attacks undermine security for Israelis and Palestinians alike.
Tonight’s operations are a huge success after the failures of the ruthless murders of Kim Levengrond-Yehezkel and Ziv Hajbi. And the seven people wounded on Sunday including Amichai and Shira Ish-Ran, a 21-year-old pregnant woman that lost her baby boy following the attack.
While the operational success is no consolation for the loss of life it is a clear message to the terrorists and would be terrorists. When you kill Israelis there is a price to pay. We will not forget & we will never stop until you’re brought to justice or you die in the process.
This year alone some 500 terrorist attacks have been foiled. I am grateful for those men and women that conduct the operations to keep us safe.
