What the crisis in France has done is strip the sugar coating from the Green proposition. The price of human survival is voluntary poverty and much reduced population numbers. Climate change can't be paid for unless sacrifices are accepted.
To be fair if you grant the Green premise the conclusion follows. The dishonesty is entirely the media's. They make the climate change program sound like a picnic at the beach when in fact it means a Hobbesian existence.
The reason the Green Reforms are being resisted is because its proponents are "too intelligent" for the subhuman public to understand.
