@GaryGrumbach Michael Flynn's sentencing hearing is now underway.
Judge: “Mr. Flynn’s briefing concerned the court, because it raised issues that could affect or call into question his guilty plea ... Do you wish to challenge the circumstances under which you were interviewed by the FBI?"
Flynn: “No, your honor;" doesn't want to withdraw plea.

Flynn's defense team reiterates that “he fully accepts responsibility, stands by his guilty plea which was made based on knowing and willing conduct," and "we are ready to proceed to sentencing.”
Judge to Flynn: “This is a very serious offense -- a high ranking senior official of the government making false statements to the FBI while” at the White House.
In sentencing hearing, judge tells Flynn that he will take into consideration his “years of service and sacrifice, and your cooperation,” but he can’t minimize the very serious crime: “Arguably, you sold your country out. The court is going to consider all that.”
Prosecutor says “hesitant” and declines to answer when judge asks if Flynn hypothetically have been charged with treason, “because it’s such a serious question.”
Judge orders recess in Flynn sentencing until 12:30 p.m. ET.
