All of the above are completely unnecessary.

We have zero obligation to Brexit without a deal.

Instead, we can revoke Article 50 unilaterally, and stay, if we fail to reach a Brexit deal.

The farce, involving 79 lorries, is meant to simulate no deal Brexit congestion of 10,000.

1) Important point about "no deal" #Brexit

The £39b "divorce bill" is not tied to us getting a deal. It doesn't go away if we have no deal.

It's the bill for pre-agreed commitments which we've agreed to pay

If we dont, we're announcing to the world we can't be trusted
2) yes it's true that the £39b bill is a condition of May's deal, but we're not "buying" May's deal with that £39b, it simply reflects the amount we agreed to pay on future EU commitments

That commitment still exists even if we crash out with no deal
3) there seems to be the general feeling in Brexiters that the £39b is some kind of "no deal" dividend, and of course we couldn't be directly forced to pay, but the reality is the rest of the world would just see the UK as a dishonourable bad actor who reneges on its commitments

Government has declared “situation of extreme urgency exists in context of UK-EU roll-on-roll-off ferry capacity by virtue of the UK leaving the EU on 29.3.2019 and the prospect that this exit may be on a no-deal basis” in the documents re its purchase of £108m of ferry services
“Extreme urgency brought about by events unforeseeable for the contracting authority and in accordance with the strict conditions stated in the Directive” - says Department of Transport about events exactly foreseen by industry - this tho about not complying with eu directive
Two things - Government has declared that No Deal Brexit is an unforseeable “extreme urgency” perhaps because it is one, but also if a Government does not publish contract in the Official Journal of EU, that is one of the only reasons under UK & EU law’s Public Services Directive

Tutti i governi Ue si stanno preparando con avvertimenti a cittadini, amministrazioni, imprese. Alcuni assumono migliaia di persone per le dogane.

Forse mi son perso qualcosa. Ma il governo italiano che fa?
Facciamo un esempio: in Italia risiedono 28.168 cittadini britannici.

Dopo la Brexit diventeranno extra-comunitari. Cosa ne facciamo in caso di no-deal? Tutti espulsi con foglio di via il 30 marzo?

Oppure li facciamo votare alle elezioni comunali come ora?
Un alto esempio banalotto: l'Italia esporta 760 milioni di euro di vino, di cui 300 milioni di prosecco.

In caso di no-deal servono doganieri per le pratiche di esportazione. E chi glielo dice ai trevigiani che devono prendersi un broker a Dover per sdoganare?

1. One of the biggest problems in the #Brexit debate is the total lack of media literacy where the ignorance of the public is exploited and important issues turned into click-bait trivia. This is why so many important issues are written off as "project fear".
2. One such example is the "Brexit threat to sandwiches" headlines - which of itself seems risible but sandwiches are an £8bn industry which is worth a magnitude more than fishing and and employs tens of thousands of people.
3. Sandwiches do not pass through a membrane from an alternate dimension. they depend on complex logistics and food safety systems all of which are interwoven with our customs controls and thy depend on JIT supply chains and an array of suppliers for seasonal ingredients.
