Border control...

1. Send US immigration agents & lawyers to Mexico's southern border. Accept asylum applications there.

2. Increase immigration agents in Central & South America - accept asylum applications there

3. Marshall plan - help improve local economies in L America
4. Increase $ immigration processing - eliminate the backlog (more ppl will go thru formal process when it takes 2yrs, not the current 20 years)

5. Expedite ALL immigration apps in the same way as Melania Trump

6. Extend farmworker visas to be multi-year
7. Fund a 10-year plan to document all of our current citizens - home births, elderly, prison populations. Go to high schools, colleges, neighborhoods help citizens get legal paperwork
8. Reduce the cost of applying for visas, green cards, citizenship

9. Provide reduced "family rates" (fees for an entire related family = cost of individual application)
10. Create a DB of jobs with labor shortages - expedite visa applications for ppl qualified to do those jobs

11. Create a "Visa Lottery" for college graduates in Latin America - this will encourage ppl in those countries to seek degrees/certifications before coming to US
12. Stop ALL US corn subsidies, promise to purchase 10+ years of corn, rice, staples from local farmers in Mexico to encourage farmers back onto their land w/ profitable crops

13. Fund agricultural colleges, night classes, experimental farms and other ag. programs in Mexico
14. Decriminalize street drugs; fund and inspect local manufacturing and distribution centers, with prescriptions- this keeps drugs safe, low-cost, well-regulated, and helps identify ppl we can treat for drug addictions

Switzerland does this and has near "0" drug/overdose deaths
How would YOU spend $ ear-marked " THE WALL" more efficiently...

A. Protect our borders

B. Address immigration application/processing backlogs, update rules

C. Help undocumented population become documented (legal residents who are "missing documents")

@WayneFreedman We do know that Kavanaugh voluntarily joined a frat that exulted in illegal behavior - assault, rape, theft, drunkenness. Why would a "virgin" join such a frat?

While we know people can change, K's story is that he was a quiet, bible-studying, studious, virgin.
@WayneFreedman People desiring to be virgin, respectful of women - don't join the frat everyone knows regularly assaults and rapes women. That has a "rape basement".

For K to be " virgin", we have to believe that...

a) he attended NONE of the parties, events, activities of the frat

Top Myths About #Asylum and why you should care:

Myth: Asylum seekers should file at US consulates in their home countries.

Reality: Asylum can only be sought at the border or inside the US. US consulates do not accept asylum applications.
Myth: Asylum seekers must present themselves at a port of entry.

Reality: The law (8 USC 1158) specifically says a person may apply for asylum whether they enter legally or not.

They can be technically prosecuted for unlawful entry, but that doesn't prevent asylum.
Myth: Asylum is only for political persecution, not for fear of gangs and terrorists.

Reality: There is NO requirement in the law that an asylum seeker's fear be politically based.

I've won many gang and terrorist related cases.

Penza is a smart lawyer. According to publicly available information, she studied at Cornell Law School, a private Ivy League University located in Ithaca, New York. Cornell was ranked the #13 law school in America, out of 203 law schools, by U.S. News & World Report, in 2018.

The atmosphere, as one might imagine, is concrete, dull fluorescents, stale stuffy air. It's not a lovely place.

2/ Important context: As head of @TheJusticeDept, the Attorney General has final say over all cases before the administrative #immigration courts. AG may snatch a case away from the Board of Immigration Appeals anytime and decide it himself by directing BIA to refer it to him.
3/ Here is the 2014 BIA holding--upholding precedent from 1989--which the AG was so intent on getting to his own desk. It may not mean much to anyone who had the good sense not to go to law school, but take a shot. (No, really: *take an actual shot* and give it a try.)
