I like Warren though less than Sanders. I’d vote for her in a general. I also think she’s much less competitive against Trump. Apart from my own preference for Sanders politics, I genuinely think he’s far and away the most electable in a race against Trump. (1/?)
I think there are people out there who claim to hate Trump and be Democrats and would rather have a Dem other than sanders win primary & lose to Trump than have Sanders win the primary & general. These people love to accuse others of self indulgent purity politics but (2/?)
are themselves self-indulgent, spiteful & petty & don’t actually care that much about the people suffering under Trump. Some of these people may actually fear Sanders’ politics more than Trump for ideological reasons &/or bc of careerist self-interest. It’s very sad & (3/?)
Disturbing that people haven’t learned the lesson of putting electability over resumes that they should have in 2016. I’m worried about sanders in a primary not in a general. Remember people, that the selfish sellouts I’m describing are a loud, powerful minority. They have (4/?)
less influence in a general & would be insignificant compared to the numbers Sanders would get in a general among not only dems but cross-overs and independents. Please don’t confuse the loud opposition of the h8%, the Watsons & Tandens & Albrights with general voters. (5/?)
I heard someone the other day, who loves Sanders, express fear that there are terrible people who would do what we they could do defeat him in a primary & she thought maybe we needed to get behind another candidate. But she then realized that the people who hate him have (6/?)
Power only in the primary & not in the general and given sanders electability against Trump in particular, we had to get behind him so he can win the primary & then beat Trump. So let’s do this. Also, Beto sucks.
