I wanted to share some of the interesting statistical #Bears nuggets that were shared with us from our friends over at @IE_NFL.

This is going to be a lengthy thread.

1) They are 12-3 when allowing less than 5 yards per rush this season. That's tied for 2nd best in the NFL.

2) According to @IE_NFL the #Bears have averaged 47.8 Penalty Yards per Game this season which is 5th best in #NFL.

3) The Bears are also 5th in the league by running the ball on 44.9% of plays in 2018.

4) I've talked about the good #Bears pass protection all year, and @IE_NFL has them allowing a QB Hit on just 6.1% of dropbacks this season, which is 3rd best in #NFL.

All their nuggets weren't in Chicago's favor, so some bad ones will be sprinkled in. The thread continues ⬇️

5) Third and short has been a problem for the #Bears according to @IE_NFL. They had them down converting 1st downs on just 31 of 60 plays (51.7%) on 3rd and short this year. That was 4th worst in NFL, with the league average being 59.7%.

6) The #Bears were worst in the #NFL by averaging only 72.8 yards from scrimmage per game in the 4th quarter.

7) Looking for a tendency... the Bears have thrown the ball a league low 20.0% of the time (44 Pass Attempts/220 plays) on plays with the QB under center this season.

8) Since week 13, the #Bears Mitchell Trubisky has a passer rating of 117.5 on red zone plays. That is 5th best during that time.

9) He's 4th best in the #NFL according to @IE_NFL by completing 69.9% of passes (79 completions/113 net pass attempts) in that same time span.

10) Since week 13, #Bears QBs have only had 10 completions for 20+ yards which is 6th fewest in #NFL. In my opinion teams have started playing Nagy's offense differently after the early success with the deep ball.

The next statistical nugget relates to the deep ball

11) @IE_NFL has Trubisky down for throwing deep balls on 15.7% of his pass attempts this year which is the 3rd highest of 33 Qualified QBs in NFL.

12) #Bears Trubiksy has a 81.8 passer rating in close and late situations (71 Pass Attempts) which is 4th worst this year.

13) Jordan Howard has rushed for 10+ yards on just 18 of his 250 carries (7.2%) this year, which is 4th worst in NFL.

14) #Bears Tarik Cohen averaged 45.3 Receiving Yards per game in 2018 which is the 4th highest of 40 Qualified running backs in the #NFL.

15) Tarik Cohen has averaged 6.9 yards from scrimmage per touch this year for the #Bears which is the best of 35 Qualified RBs in #NFL.

These next 2 stats from @IE_NFL will be all about YAC

16) #Bears WRs are tied for the 4th worst in yards after catch with only 3.6 per reception.

15) Their TEs are tied for 3rd worst in the #NFL with only 3.8 yards after the catch
