We need a Fashola appreciation thread. He resumed in November 2015, let's assume Jan 2016. In 2 years, he has criss-crossed the entire country, carrying the weight of 3 ministries on his shoulders. Flagging of projects, Inspecting projects, meeting with contractors..

In 2 years, with 3 ministries, he has done much more than previous ministers that ran each ministry in 4 years. His zeal to work and deliver is a supernatural gift. How he was able to grasp the technicalities surrounding power, infrastructure and housing...
He speaks like a civil engineer when it comes to roads and breaks down power like a trained electrical engineer..
Do we need to post pictures of projects? It will take us the whole day..

I needed to keep my sanity and the love I had for medicine as a child..

I was working as a casualty officer at the State Hospital Akure. I ran shifts with my colleagues and we were in charge of all emergencies ranging from medical, Obs/Gyn, pediatrics, surgical emergencies. I thrive in emergency situations, I like the A&E.
It is a place of work, sober reflection and fun when everything goes well. Reality check, different stories, different people.
Back then the hospital had a theater and an emergency cupboard, well stocked to ensure that patients got the required attention in minutes.

The reason why we have mass illiteracy, mass under-development and unemployment in Nigeria is simply due to the skewed focus on ASUU and the Universities.

The FG has been subsidizing a privilege while neglecting the basic right of its citizenry.

I attended a FG university, graduated as a Medical Doctor tuition free. Highest amount I paid per session to the university was about 20k for 8 sessions. Roughly 200k for a course that would have cost me about 4 million naira in a private University.

Thought it was free? No

There is no free food in Freetown. The FG funded my education, subsidized my tertiary education with millions of Naira. I would have paid 4m to get that degree.

Multiply this by the number of doctors that have graduated over the years, engineers, lawyers etc.
Your education comes at a cost, the FG is taking billions in cost to educate some Nigerians, don't say FG is not funding education. They may not be doing so well but it is a huge burden.

I have been working as a doctor a decade, no loans on education..

ISM is defined as a distinctive practice, system, or philosophy, typically a political ideology or an artistic movement.
3/n It must be understood that Hindu term always had geo-cultural meaning covering for people residing amid Sindhu River, Himalayas & Indu Sagar. Then in this case adding suffix ISM is nothing but mocking English Language. Eg, u can’t add Ism to Japanese and call Japaneism.
