The timing of the Twitter messages, sent from an anonymous Twitter account 30 minutes before the Shadow Brokers started publishing stolen NSA hacking tools, led Kaspersky to wonder if the sender of the messages was connected to the Shadow Brokers politico.com/story/2019/01/…
Kaspersky contacted the NSA and provided the Twitter DMs as well as evidence indicating the anonymous sender’s real identity was Harold Martin. The FBI used this evidence to obtain search warrants for Martin’s Twitter account and Maryland home
