So far @SenWarren, @TulsiGabbard, @JulianCastro, and now @SenGillibrand have announced they're running for President.

I can't wait for the first debate. It's going to look like a 1st grade spelling bee.
I've already got the drinking game worked out:

"Orange man bad" - drink.
"Wall bad! Immigrants good!" - drink.
"Russia" - drink.
"Minorites, women, LGBTQOMGWTF, blah blah blah" - drink drink drink.
I'll probably finish a bottle of Laphroaig within the first 30 minutes. After that it won't matter.

I was thinking about this thread and others by @HNIJohnMiller regarding strategy and Batman Gambits. Specifically regarding Boss's "capitulation" to Nancy Pelosi over the SOTU.
A lot of people, on our side and especially Pelosi expected Boss to escalate. "You can't fucking tell me I can't give the SOTU! I'll fucking show you!"

That's a noob mistake.
This isn't a Batman Gambit. It's not even a Kobayashi Maru where Boss reprograms the simulator. No this is something completely unexpected:

This is my new favorite picture. I could look at it like an old masterpiece painted by one of the great masters hanging in a museum. There is a grandeur to it and maybe a hidden meaning like a DaVinci.
You've probably heard Boss paid for this feast from his own pocket. A couple hours before the reception with Clemson, Boss calls me and @TPaperIntern into the Oval. He takes out a money clip and starts counting out hundreds.
"2, 3, 4... Fuck it here." He hands us a wad of cash, and tells us to go to all the burger joints and buy enough to feed the whole team - from each restaurant.

"And Fridge, don't forget the Diet Coke." He was joking. He knows I would never forget the DC.

Boss is not going to declare a national emergency tonight. That lacks the finesse that Boss prefers.

No, tonight is about shaming the Democrats into doing his bidding. Whatever they do it plays into his hand.
He'll lay out the situation on the border and the stakes involved. He'll use Sec Nielsen's presentation that Pelosi refused to listen to. He'll explain it straight to the American people without MSM filter.
He'll show how the Democrats voted for the Wall before they voted against it. Then he'll wrap up with a plea to put country ahead of party, but give a warning that if they refuse to act with him, he will act without them.

In three related areas, he vastly improved Newark - crime reduction, education, and economic development. Not coincidentally, having those things work hand-in-hand is the secret sauce for improving impoverished areas w/high crime & unemployment.
