In February we are launching Portes, a protocol/app that can verify your status to a third party (human, age, parent, student, exclusive) with zero personal information collected or shared. We're done with the Google surveillance state.

Unlike ReCaptcha, our solution is not hostile to sites, apps, businesses, or users. It is accessible for those with disabilities. Our privacy policy is under 40 words long. We do not request nor collect any personal or device identifiers. We cannot track or profile you.
We're starting with an I Am Human component, which unlike Google's ReCaptcha, does not operate as a data collection/surveillance tool. It is a simple peer to peer verification between your device & the site requesting proof. Since no identifying data is collected, GDPR compliant.
Verifications of human status in 3-4 seconds with a single tap, no AI garbage. No cookies, no tracking, no profiling. And both the Portes app and the server side authenticator, Onoro, are free.
Future version will also allow you to create highly secure login authentications without passwords.
If you are interested in testing the authenticator on your site or in your app, or just beta test the Portes app, please drop me a line.
You'll even be able to create a digital asset we call a DIID that can grant exclusive access to both sites and apps, as well as levels of access. You can stack these verification to include things like Human + Student Status + Exclusive Access.
It will be launched for both iOS and Android. The iOS version is already in the UK/US store for pre-order (free). Will expand to additional territories.

As for accessibility, we want it to be best of class. Unlike captcha/ReCaptcha which have upwards of 50% failure rates for those with impairments (and upwards of 29 second verifications), we're bringing it down to a single tap/scan and 3-4 second verifications.

We have a solution, one of many in the world that could help provide some answers to some problems. Please show me where I said this. I've never said I approved of filtering because I don't believe it can work.

I support the idea that we need to force change in the status quo or the current monopolies will further cinch up all access to media. I personally think it's horrible that smaller developers cannot access media.

To combat misinformation and pass Article 13, we can't just have rhetoric. We have to show a working alternative to the system we have. Show a better working vision of the future, a working solution.

I've dedicated past 6 yrs of my life to that goal and have those solutions.
Opponents of Article 13, like Tim Berners-Lee, created methods for moving information across the world, but spent zero time creating protocols for expressing the rights of creators.

At our company we've spent years building out models and tech to correct this oversight.
YouTube's ContentID is reactionary...they take the approach of monetizing a series of rights already violated. This is the wrong model.

We work in the affirmative...building automated systems for saying "Yes", allowing artists to express their rights, preventing infringement.

Let’s push pause and think about what blockchainers propose:

By throwing out terms like “censorship resistant” “immutable” and “trust”, what they really suggest is we create the mother of all surveillance systems which monitors everything from 🍊 to people.
They do this under the guise of a lot of little projects which not only tell you where your food came but who picked it.

And we know everything about that person because they have an immutable ID, and we know where they come from.
That person was entered into the blockchain at birth. Their birth records are there. Their student records are there. Who they marry. Their credit score. Who they owe money to. Their mortgage and property titles. Their children. Who they work for. It pays them.

EU-orchestrated Multistakeholder Forum industry self-regulatory "Code of Practice on Online Disinformation".

Exciting, I know.

It's not perfect-nothing is-and the sounding board has offered some valuable criticism.

But there at least 3 potentially major accomplishments 1/6
1) Signatories including Facebook, Google, and Twitter commit to bot detection and identification by promising to "establish clear marking systems and rules for bots to ensure their activities cannot be confused with human interactions". This is important! 2/6
2) Submit their efforts to counter disinformation to external scrutiny by independent third party: "an annual account of their work to counter Disinformation in the form of a publicly available report reviewable by a third party". Also important! 3/6

Late night thread bomb? Why not?

Today I made a comment that I think everyone should vote third party. I seemed to get a good bit of pushback, which I expected because, well, it's a political tweet and politics are polarizing.

Here's why I am undecided but supportive of third party candidates.

I am firmly Libertarian. I feel as though individual liberty is the answer to the vast majority of problems, and while I think the Non-Agression Policy (NAP) is flawed, we could do with significantly less war.
Usually, when I bring up the fact that I'm Libertarian, the reaction to that statement is disdain, condescension or blatant irritation. Regardless, the reaction is usually something along the lines of:

"You know they don't stand a chance right?"

The outrage from those that use third party clients is predictable, and in a sense justified. Justified because going way back twitter talked about the API & openness. I was there and recall thinking “🤔, this isn’t sustainable”. But also at the time, mobile platforms were uncertain—Facebook had not even pivoted yet and Twitter was a very small team leveraging the community. Plus no one argues with openness.

Why not sustainable and so tough?

1. By February 2017 representatives of SCL Elections Ltd were claiming they had a database of 250 million Americans for the Trump Campaign.

I have some suggestions.
2/ We know from the email exchanges going on between AiQ and SCL Elections Ltd as far back as 2014 that a lot of work was going on in creating the platform and datasets to support “The Bolton Project” for the then Ambassador Bolton, now Trumps Nat Sec nominee.
