1/ Activists +journos spreading this pic, claiming it's civilian killed y'day in #Manbij blast.

I checked for @akhbar if this is correct.

IT IS NOT.

Woman is alive. I spoke to her husband. Her name is Rozkin Bozan. She's from Kobani, now in Turkey. Unknown ppl took pic from FB

2/ After her pic was taken from FB &published as victim of #Manbij blast, hell broke out for Rozkin Bozan.

Friends +family all around world saw pic &started sending condolences to husband Mustafa. Rozkin and Mustafa now very upset. "Terrible to see internet claims you are dead".

3/ This is original pic of Rozkin Bozan &husband Mustafa. They got married in August 2018. Somebody took pic from FB, cut out husband and claimed woman in pic was killed in #Manbij blast.

Activists and journalists then "copy pasted" it &spread this false news.

Very terrible.

4/ The couple r still newly wed and had shock of their life when her picture appeared online as person killed in #Manbij blast.

Rozkin &Mustafa aren't even in Syria. Now answering many condolences from grieving friends/family.

Endlessly explaining: "No Rozkin isn't dead".

5/ Along with picture of Rozkin, pics of three other civilian victims of #Manbij blast were published online. Also six names. It takes a lot of time to check if these pics & names are correct. But we can now surely say that Rozkin wasn't killed in blast & is thankfully alive.

6/ Rozkin and Mustafa just sent me this picture of them together. As an evidence she wasn't killed and that they are alive and okay.

This proves once again that journalists should CHECK a story instead of copy pasting activists.
