Something that has always puzzled me -
Foeticide in general is strongly opposed by conservatives

Why is the liberal outrage against Female foeticide so much greater than against Foeticide in general?

The Progressive rhetoric in this regard is deeply problematic
So is Foeticide OK as long as it is not sex-selective?
If Foeticide is a terrible thing (which in my view it is), should we not oppose it regardless of whether it is gender agnostic or not?

India is a classic example of a country where we see this "Progressive" bias at work.
Abortion is legal in India upto 20 months of pregnancy
But sex selective abortion is ofcourse illegal
Now I cannot quite fathom which moral apparatus can justify this legal framework

This tells us a lot about the thought processes of conservatives and liberals
Conservatives are concerned with the quest for virtue - whatever they may deem it to be
Liberals don't care for virtue as much. But for fairness. Vice is OK as long as it is even-handed and fair
