Oops had to attend a transgender awareness course at work today labelled “how not to be a terf”
It was given by a trans woman at the company focusing on gender equality and how to be a trans ally as the company has a strong transgender awareness policy.
1. Everyone in my area had to attend, they paid particular attention to us bame offering guidance and support so as not to offend our religious views. I of course stated unequivocal support and said “my thing is I’ll ask for your pronouns and then I’ll use them”
2. To be greeted with gasps from the other indians to which I told them in Hindi that should treat the trans as hijra and if in doubt to read the Gita and the teachings of Lord Krishna

Is someone who creates and hosts a mastedon based fork for #feminists which is "women-centric" a Terf or just Terf-adjacent?

Looking into #spinster - a spin off from #mumsnet and #twitter - and who runs/hosts/maintains it...
The domain is on sale for $1200 or so - is it worth running a crowd-funder to raise this?

Who'd be in?
The domain it runs on...

I wish I had an anonymous donor who would just throw the money at this "problem"

Women and girls are a marginalized group oppressed by males and require single-sex protections and accomodations. This is a sex based right we intend to fight for and uphold. Absolutely nothing fundamentalist TRAs say or do will stop women from protecting ourselves from men.
Anyone wishing to take single-sex spaces and inclusive opportunities away from female people is a misogynist with an agenda. You can hate feminists all you want, but this has always been our fight- and we will never give up. #SexNotGender #StopFemaleErasure #AbolishGender
We fight to liberate all women and girls from the patriarchy. And when we are liberated, we will continue to fight to uphold our liberation. We. Will. Never. Stop. #feminism #RadFem #GenderCritical #DamnRight

I’ve only recently acknowledged that I am, in fact, gender critical, after months of insisting I was a TRA. I thought I would explain why I changed my mind. Last summer’s pride event in London, was the first time I remember becoming aware of the extent of the debate about 1/14
trans rights in the UK. At the time I was appalled by the protest. I am a lesbian and I felt no threat of erasure from trans people ( I have several trans friends), I just couldn’t understand why these women were protesting. I read the mainstream news which identified that2/14
tensions in the community were occurring because of the GRA. I looked to the Stonewall website and found the information on the GRA reforms and I read the resources with enthusiasm. I was won over by what Stonewall had written. I believed that the process for trans people to3/14

In 2013, I joined Twitter and hardly ever tweeted until after the 2016 Election, when I immediately joined #TheResistance to protest Trump. In 2018, I still fight to improve America. However, this year the #GenderCritical Resistance has had more meaning for me.
You see, I’m a lesbian, a female homosexual. In 2018, most LGBTQ+ media and organizations are against homosexual rights and dignity. They actually aim to erase anyone who isn’t pansexual, which would straighten out the rainbow. This is a conversion therapist’s wet dream.
American VP Mike Pence would be proud of the new brand of conversion therapy on the Left, which seeks to violate the boundaries of homosexuals and women. But this is much bigger than America. It’s a global problem that liberal parties are promoting. Why?

It’s so funny and ironic how #liberals call #RadicalFeminism#WhiteFeminism”, yet, I’ve come across so much actual #racism directed at me and other #GenderCritical black women from self-righteous #trans activists/allies and libfems. 🙄
I’ve gotten more racism from that crowd in the past two weeks than I’ve gotten from any #RadicalFeminists in two months. Or any amount of time. Liberals routinely erase the radical #WomenOfColor from history who either called themselves #radfems or influenced radical feminism so
that they can call radical feminism “white”, misappropriate #Intersectionality from #BlackFeminism to try and justify including males in #feminism, argue that “transwomen are women the same way Black women are women”, (racist and dehumanizing comparison of black women to males),
