I’m 51 yo. I’ve packed on a fascist 15. I have never looked more exhausted. I am talking to my mom on the phone l—on headphones—about her ex/my dad’s cancer prognosis, and still some dude tries to by me a drink at the airport bar.

It does not take much situational awareness for when women have no time for your shit. Just a little and of a certain kind.
Men need to start calling out the men who drag your average down. And not just the Harvey’s and the Cosby’s but the everyday all the time drag of whit like this.

I am truly dismayed by how many in MSM got worked—yet again—by conservative claims that one video exonerated these kids. I've watched them all. None put them in a better light, unless you're really reaching. Some are a lot WORSE than original.
The tapes that have emerged do show the BHI doing their usual end-times ranting. But they also show the Covington Catholic kids:
* making cavemen gestures at BHI
*tomahawk chanting at Natives
*taunting random women
*chants of "build the wall" and "it's not rape if you enjoy it"
I sincerely hope that @SavannahGuthrie asks them about that. But not holding my breath.

1/ 17 days after I flew out to Baltimore to help my dad, newly diagnosed with AML, I'm flying back for at least a week, and I feel I owe sharing how great everyone has been.
2/ First, the docs/nurses/techs at @UMMC @EastonHospital and our Eastern Shore hematology group have been awesome. It's a complicated diagnosis/treatment, and it has been hard to figure it out re rural hospital but kudos to everyone.
3/ Friends and former coworkers of my dad's, organized in large part by @dbelt50, have written the most amazing notes or encouragement and offers of help. The @NatGeo alumni group is amazing.

One of the biggest problems in our country is that many people who claim to be acting on behalf of the Lord are the least charitable, both as a matter of finances and as a matter of grace writ large.
I’m not a believer in God(s) in the supernatural sense. But I am a believer in charity and grace, something the world’s great religions, often, try and impart in their various ways. love thy neighbor. And we are all neighbors. Anyway, do something nice for somebody, today.
Churches, schools, parents, civic and politics and yes corporate leaders should not just preach this, but hold their communities into account.

Reminiscing my electrical engg education.
Silicon valley was not built by computer boffins. It was built by electrical engineers. Oh yeah! William Shockley and Fredrick Terman. As a Prof at the Stanford, Terman was instrumental in creation of the Silicon Valley in 1951.
Fredrick Emmons Terman who wrote the wonderful book, "Electronic and Radio Engineering".
Mostly focused on the vacuum tube technology. But parts of it, such as the Class C amplifiers stuff was pretty good.
Of course, if you have enough money to plonk, you would buy Bose speakers and earphones. Bose in his earlier days as a Prof along with Stevens had written a well referred textbook. "Introductory Network Theory".

Filing columns from hospital beds is exhausting.
Once, when I was at @PhillyDailyNews, before email was a thing, I wrote my copy long-hand from the ICU. That story, about the ICU, was later nom'd for Pulitzer, but all I remember was thinking those might be my last written words.
