Am sure they've got lots of very good questions lined up already (@AlexanderHorne1), but if they wanted a few more....
If govt is saying they don't want to extend A50. What is the timeline now to Mar 2019, incl talks in Bxl, a meaningful vote (w/ sufficient debate) & then Withdrawal Agreement Bill?
Last year, Govt told EU they needed deal by December to meet March deadline
If that is supposed to be on UK statute books in 2 months, why haven't member seen it? Are they proposing to bounce such a constitutionally/politically significant bill thru Parliament in next to no time?
Why haven't they published draft?
What number of the projects monitored centrally by DExEU team are rated Red or Amber Red? We know there's the team tracking progress in his department, Barclay should tell Parliament their assessment of how ready UK is.
What Bills do they *really* need through? Can they manage with a small number? Are they going to rely on Civil Contingencies Act in certain areas if Parliament holds them up?
We know from CBI and IOD surveys that biz plans are not all in place. What engagement is DExEU doing? Why haven't they answered questions like - UK import tariffs or migration regime for EU citizens Mar19-Dec2020
Hopefully he will have plenty of material to chew over after today's session.
