Hick dodges on health care though saying rather than fighting over Medicare for All Ds should unite on trying to achieve universal health care and not fight over specifics.
Asked what his 1st exec order would be, Hick says he doesn’t know but says feds should not impose new burdens on states.
Hick says “absolutely” he’d reverse Trump’s ban on transgendered members in the military
Asked if he supports the green new deal Hick says he was going to read up on it on the flight over but lost internet. “I think so,” he says.
Hick now riffing on getting rid of the payroll tax to combat income inequality and maybe replacing it w VAT or something else.
Asked about education, Hick says have to get teachers unions to compromise on charters. “There has to be something in it for the teachers.”
