This an unintentionally funny (or ironic) thread.
@JamesDelingpole claims that a “radical left” tactic is “not to counter the enemy's arguments or even engage with them.”
Although I don’t think he self-describes as “radical left” he then adopts precisely that tactic, ignoring the detailed criticisms of his WTO/trade arguments by those who know what they’re talking about (@Jim_Cornelius, @CoppetainPU and, if I may say so, me).
Instead he diverts onto a minor quibble about plagiarism.
I’ve no objection to people tweeting on complex stuff they know little about. It’s Twitter. But if you do, and especially if (for whatever obscure reason) you have a public platform, please listen and engage honestly with people who genuinely understand more than you do.
(Who, on this occasion, could only be described as “radical left” by someone who really hasn’t done their research.)
Links to the criticism that Delingpole ignored follow.
And also worth Delingpole’s while reading this by @CoppetainPU (and other pieces on this site, to which experts on various aspects of trade policy and EU law contribute). uktradeforum.net/2019/01/26/why…
