Worth noting in this guidance one of the serious legal problems caused by “no deal” Brexit: if you are hit by a car in (say) Slovenia, you will have to sue in the Slovene courts, in Slovene. gov.uk/guidance/prepa…
And if the driver is uninsured, you may get nothing.
This is just one of the thousands of ways in which, legally, operating in the EU27 immediately becomes legally harder for U.K. individuals and businesses after Brexit.
And legal difficulty/uncertainty has a real impact on business (as well as, obviously, ordinary people’s lives - a point generally ignored by “no dealers”).

A reminder to @aaronbastani. A customs union *does* entail signing up to State aid rules. It *doesn’t* entail agreeing FoM (though I suppose if the U.K. wanted it, it could be agreed).
PS the adjective “clearly” here plays its usual role (marking an assertion which is in fact either not clear at all or just wrong). See the PM’s “let me be clear”, passim.

Interesting. NB that the interviewer isn’t right to describe EEA FOM as just about workers (let alone “come here with a job”): the citizenship directive applies in the EEA.
@Keir_Starmer doesn’t repeat that error and deals with the point on a more abstract level, rather than dealing directly with Norway +.

1. Our current thinking is that the Chequers plan is totally unworkable. It is impractical and incompatible with EU and international law. The EU will reject it - but not immediately. It will use the time to plan for a no deal #Brexit
2. The general feeling, thanks to the propaganda of the Tory right is that the proposal is about as far as the UK can bend. This is odd because the proposal is not entirely dismiliar to some of the nonsense cooked up by pro-Brexit think tanks. Mrs May cannot win.
3. Mrs May could even adopt their alternative plans with some adjustments and the ultras would shift the goalposts again. They would cry betrayal at any concession. They are unappeasable. There is no deal they will support because they do not want a deal.
