2/ However, as @DiarNewsletter points out, @Ethereum's on-chain transactions are at an all-time high as it continues to attract substantive financially driven projects.
3/ Apparently @Tronfoundation's transactions are even more substantially gambling driven at > 95% diar.co/volume-3-issue…
4/ What we may see going forward is high-throughput, low-cost #blockchains will naturally attract "low-end" use-cases, while trusted chains where many quality projects are already building (e.g., #Bitcoin & #Ethereum) attract the "high-end."

Lots of smart contract functionality needs to sit below current interfaces to compensate for the shortcomings of the protocols.
The “shortcomings of the protocols” are not necessarily a bad thing, either.

Protocols should remain as thin as possible to provide a useful service to as many interfaces as possible.

With words like the below, @Kik looks really ready to fight:

“the Commission will not and cannot demonstrate that Kin in and of itself or any specific sale or distribution of Kin fall within the purview of the federal securities laws”

Allowing it to go to court is risky for the SEC, as the outcome becomes a wildcard.

If a settlement happens, then it may happen that the SEC says $KIN is no longer a security, but slaps @Kik w/ a fine for the original issuance.
