I had an idea, but I want to judge interest before I spend the time to dive into this.

Would you be interested in a daily (or every other day) blog from me that breaks down the 3-5 news stories I think are the most significant in regards to Trump/Russia and NatSec?
I have a feeling we are about to get into a craaaaazy news cycle, and it’s already hard enough for some people to take everything in as it is, so I’d like to help if I can.

Let me know what you think.

To be clear, there are plenty of news-aggregator sites out there. That’s not my vision.

I want to take a few stories and add context/help explain WHY they’re important, not just read them to you.

This does nothing for us, but it hurts our allies a whole hell of a lot. 1/
The INF treaty was primarily adopted to protect our European allies from Russian aggression.

The treaty banned land-based missiles with ranges between 310-620 miles *and* missiles with ranges between 620-3420 miles. 2/
Withdrawing because “Russia is cheating” (no shit, Russia cheats at everything) is a farce and it makes our allies less safe; we don’t need this capability. Russia does.

Nobody can seriously think this is a good idea. 3/

TL;DR, because this is important:

You can call the Office of Management and Budget’s public comment line and request the OMB Director to instruct all agencies to examine their budgets and determine how contractors could be retro-paid.

This can be done without Congress.
The number is 1 (202) 395-3080

Option 1 is the public comments for the director.

A thread with some of the story of the “battery card” - the first pirate card sold for hacking DirecTV in the mid 1990s.

The battery card was a PCB slightly longer than a credit card, with chips on it to emulate a smartcard. Visible on the top of the card when inserted in a satellite receiver was a coin cell-type 3V battery.
Because the chips are thicker than a smartcard, the board would extend out of the cardslot to make room for the chips. Inside the satellite receiver, the battery card emulated an original smartcard. The satellite receiver wouldn’t know the difference.

The Evidence Obtained Outside Cameras will not show any evidence of ‘tempering’ but other than license plates of dozens of diplomatic cars (Many with tinted windows-large trunks) with related time stamp, drivers Info, model/year: Nothing.
#Turkish Intel-Investigative Bodies also have the list of all Diplomatic & Private Saudi & “other significant’ Planes in #Turkey for the period of ‘interest.’ Many of the Target airports have their own security cameras & related evidence.

There is so much wrong with explicit claims, implicit insinuations that racism/sexism was involved in the USOpen I should blog it, but, for now ... thread. The retw below makes a good pt. Systematic bias in rules enforcement COULD reflect bias; but no one has such evidence. 1/n
The USOpen ump followed the rules. Serena committed a series of rules violations, one after another. HOWEVER, the retw above makes a good point. Its like "driving while black" -- if blacks are pulled over more than whites for identical minor driving offenses, its discrim.
Same for tennis. If black or female players are penalized more for the same behavior as nonblack or male players, it would (or could) be racism or sexism. BUT, the sexism claim is easily squashed.
