The Sierra Club LOVES #GreenNewDeal they sent an email this morning sharing the good news and telling everyone to endorse it, calling it a “once-in-a-generation opportunity” 🤣
She is their “climate champion”
Ben Beachy the Sierra Club director claims #GreenNewDeal has an abundance of good ideas that could be part of a bold plan to transition from an economy of low wages and climate pollution to dignified work and 100% clean energy. Big if true. Also Unicorns.

This is just lovely. Today @TheJusticeDept charged Sharma of Magnavison LLC with multiple counts of immigration fraud and H-1B violations what they didn’t mention is the NJ company has a long term Federal Contract. Who helped this company @SenatorMenendez?

When @Code2040 started what we heard from all parts of the industry was that this was “a pipeline issue” & so we set out to create a pipeline. Over the course of 6 years, on a non-profit budget, & several very dedicated staff, we created a Black & Latinx pipeline of tech talent.
This year alone @Code2040 had 1000 applications for the Fellows Program in the first week of the Fellows Program launch. We have around 700 Fellows Program alums and 300 alums from our various other programs (TAP, Tech Trek, ECAP). That is a pipeline.

Would immediately result in loss of 1 of New England's largest sources of CO2-free power & 4.2% of region's annual electricity.
3. Now opposes Northern Pass transmission project & procurement of 9.45 TWh of hydropower from Quebec sierraclub.org/press-releases…

That project would bring in enough hydro to replace all of Pilgrim's lost generation + supply another 3.6% of NE's electricity, helping drive down CO2.
