1. A short thread on economic forecasting. I used to work as a trader at some well known financial institutions. We were bombarded daily with forecasts and predictions from some very well known economists. As traders who wanted to keep our jobs we learnt to mainly ignore them.
2. A good case in point would be the USA non-farm payrolls, a very important economic indicator that would move markets. Every month Bloomberg would publish 100+ economists forecasts for last month’s figures. Every month 100+ economists would get it wrong.
3. Why? Too many variables. But the same people are happy to publish their forecasts for how the economy will be in 15 years time. Now here are truly so many variables that it is literally guesswork.

Yesterday afternoon, I received a "Call to Action" sent out by the Oath Keepers to everyone on their email list. The Oath Keepers group is one of the private paramilitary groups that is currently cause-shopping.
They've recently considered 1) joining the child sex trafficking scheme in Tucson, 2) aiding border militias, 3) providing armed security to ICE agents & their families, 4) protecting white culture from the Natl Edu Assoc, & 5) prepping for a violent civil war against liberals.
This lack of purposes makes them dangerous and desperate. To recruit new members, they've been raffling off firearms, lifetime memberships, and other free stuff. In the last 30 days, they've sent out 50 emails, most of which are written to stir up membership rage.

He's obsessed with white x marks in the desert, convinced that these are his proof that he's found a child sex trafficking corridor. In reality, the reason for the crosses is far more interesting, albeit less salacious.
