Breaking: Neskantaga First Nation Chief Wayne Moonias announces the company that was working on the community’s water treatment plant has been ordered to immediately cease operations and leave.
Neskantaga has been under a boil-water advisory for over two decades. It is the longest-standing such advisory in Canada.
I was last here in 2016 when INAC Minister Carolyn Bennett promised it would come to an end.
