Turning to @AlvaroUribeVel , we have a Colombian president who killed at least 10,000 civilians, according to a thorough study undertaken by Omar Rojas and historian Fabian Leonardo Benavides,

That Uribe would call Saleh a "hero" is really no surprise. What IS a surprise are the number of leaders, foreign ministers, heads of state meet with and greet Saleh, a known terrorist, like Uribe does. Both men are examples

of how degraded our media is, with both men included in countless media reports on Venezuela, reports that make no mention of their history, their victims and their extreme violence and links to neofascist and other groups in both Venezuela & Colombia, as documented, for example

, by Gabriel Garcia Marquez's former paper, @elespectador, which found out that Saleh attended meetings of neonazi extremists in Colombia, some of whom, have links to Uribe's wide circle of right wing paramilitaries, neonazis and other extremists who the media's uncritical lens

turns into "heros" in mysterious ways that resemble Gabo's magical realism.
