This election cycle is going to brutal. Possibly even worse than the last one. So I'm just going to let you know now:
The gloves are off. I don't care about you or your feelings. If we haven't interacted, don't expect me to coddle, entertain, or engage you.

As you navigate your way through this election cycle, ask yourself a few questions before responding to that "person."
1) Are they truly interested in a convo, or do they just want to argue?
2) What does their TL look like? Is this question out of the blue?
3) Are they a bot?

There's a difference between a troll (actual human) and a bot (computer created). But for these purposes, it really doesn't matter. I am making the choice that trolls/bots aren't worth my time, energy or intelligence. I am interested in those who want to have real convos. Solely.
Blocking is a thing. Muting people & hashtags is a thing. Muting your OWN tweet is a thing. Changing your Settings to filter who/what you see is a thing. Self-care in choosing who gets your energy on here is a thing. I'm making some changes; you may choose to as well.
The bottom line:
You don't owe anyone on this app anything. Not your time, not your energy, not your intelligence, not your emotion, not even a reply.
It's amazing how strangers feel they are entitled. I am here to tell you that they are not. Let that stay with you.
