Let me tell you how the Universe works in my life. I didn’t realize that my Speakers Bureau needed me to stay TWO nights in Columbus. So I had to change my flight to give me an extra day. It’s @SouthwestAir tho, so no big deal. Decided to get the Business Select flight. #thread
A bit more money, but I have Travel Funds to burn, so no biggie. Plus it gives me ALL the flexibility to change flights. I get the notice that my flight has been delayed. Twice. Okay, cool. I push my lunch date in DC back an hour. I get to the airport, and walk past a counter...
That flight is for a later one going to BWI, not DCA where I’m going. The Universe brought it to my attention though. Whatever. I get to my gate and my flight is all the way cancelled. Welp. It happens. I immediately get on the phone instead of standing in line (I hate lines).
The @SouthwestAir rep didn’t even know my flight had been canceled yet (thankful for those text alerts!). It showed up for her and she rebooked me (for THE FREE- remember, Business Select) on that BWI flight I saw just 30 mins earlier. I was rebooked before anyone at the counter.
So I cancelled my lunch plans and am now chilling at the new gate. I’ll have to take a train to retrieve my car from DCA, but that’s light work. And I should still make my #Oscars facial. /end
