 Let’s start with a case: 55 y/o woman with CV risk factors presents to clinic with mild CP for 3 months. What is the next test if you want to diagnose significant CAD?

 Not enough info. History/physical critical. Starting meds ok but get a diagnosis if case not clear cut. Exercise testing is better but not appropriate for every patient. Cath first if you believe unstable/high-risk disease or if symptomatic + high-pretest probability.

Before you get students started on their digital forensics work, you might point out the misinformation pattern it fits. This rumor has gone viral three separate times: first during the 2016 campaign, then again after Washington was nominated for an Oscar in February 2018, and...
...then again last week when Kanye West's tweeted statement of support for President Trump sparked a broader conversation about the political loyalties of the African American community. So one lesson here is that viral rumors recirculate when new contexts for them emerge.

I recently talked with graduate students in a seminar on #teaching practices in #HigherEducation about how to design and teach a course when you are not an expert on all of the content--which is really what most teaching is. Here are the main takeaways for those interested. 1/
In my experience, there are four main mistakes that novices often make when designing and teaching a course for the first time.

First, they approach the task by venturing off on their own into the wilderness of literature on all of the topics they don't know well. 2/
In other words, they prepare for course design as if it is a qualifying exam, attempting to become experts on all of the topics that the course will/should/must cover. 3/
