Okay, this is actual progress. (It's a shame that the TTRPG industry is so bad at addressing harassment and abuse that this stands out as remarkable, but this is very solid.) dnd.wizards.com/articles/news/…
And since, for whatever reason, Twitter isn't displaying a preview above, WotC's statement about Zak S is solid. For the TTRPG industry, it's something of a standout.
Here's what it does right: it names the harasser, it admits that hiring him was a mistake, and the company regrets it, it credits the people who have been asking WotC to do something, it takes meaningful action to deplatform the harasser, and puts money behind a survivors' org.
Here's what I would have liked to see:
--We recognize the pain that not listening to victims earlier, and promoting Smith's work, has caused, and we're sorry. (Unlikely to happen, though, because of possible legal ramifications.)

--Here's what we're doing to make sure that we're minimizing, rather than increasing, the risk for victims who contact us about harassment.
--We recognize the power we hold in this industry. Here are ways we're working to make it safer and more inclusive.
Oh, and to be clear, I think they SHOULD address their employee's (employees' ?) roles in protecting and enabling Zak, but I don't expect to see that because of potential legal liability.
