$MKR is better as a secondary layer, as the system can be governed more adeptly without the mental bloat of all $ETH holders involved.
In conversations w/ @BradUSV & @jmonegro, the idea of “small pieces, loosely joined” has come up in the context of #crypto.
One conclusion has been protocols that provide a single service, as opposed to a motley of services, should have tighter governance, leading to more adept evolution.

The native #cryptoasset can then stay more relevant, useful, and valuable w/ time.

If someone is unnecessarily judging you, it’s their curse not yours.
Don’t make it your curse by letting their judgment consume you.
Similarly, if judging someone with ego you may feel righteous, but in reality you’re degrading your state of being.

It’s clear you’re doing this if you’re comparing the other to yourself.

We often focus on our ability to connect with others through conversation.

But I think the ability to comfortably be in silence with another is the best marker of a strong bond.
When comfortably in silence, there’s no (anxious) need to speak to prove or reinforce one’s existence to the other.

Instead, there’s acceptance of oneself, and the other, with no need for further reaffirmation of that bond.
Some people are naturally gifted at being in silence with others. If *comfortable* in that silence, those are typically the people that have come to love themselves the most.

Curious to see if @cosmos’ launch next week (🤞) serves as a catalyst for #crypto at large.
If it turns out to be a non-event, or a small blip that quickly relents, that points to Mr. Crypto Market remaining depressed for the foreseeable future.
You know you’re in a bear market when you get good news and can’t rally.

Both @CathieDWood & @AriDavidPaul put this in my mind.

Nice analysis of large data sets refuting most of Taleb's critique of IQ. This + prior convo indicates some pts of convergence. Thread, 1/n
1. IQ does not predict *wealth* well (duh, as one tw'er put it, wealth is highly ... ahem ... heritable.)
2, IQ moderately predicts income (.3-.4, depending on data set, higher in more recent data sets, perhaps indicating increasing meritocracy...).

Anyone know: Is there well-replicated evidence that anything predicts income BETTER than IQ in these (or other data sets)?

This year, @Remezcla was credentialed to cover the #Oscars for the 1st time. It felt meaningful to have a presence there in a year that saw so much LatAm talent celebrated. It felt even more meaningful that our DACAmented correspondent @Carlos_Film could rep for DREAMers tonight.
But I'd like to point out that Remezcla wouldn't have been at the Oscars at all if a Latina Academy voter hadn't fought on our behalf. After our credential application was initially rejected, she advocated for our inclusion as an outlet and got us in the door.
This is an increasingly common struggle for outlets like ours. All too often, we're bypassed by Anglo publicists and predominantly white institutions in favor of more "mainstream" outlets.
